The Gulf Atlantic Anesthesiology Resident's Research Conference (GAARRC) was held in Galveston, Texas on April 27-29, 2001. The purpose of the two day conference was tri-fold: 

          To provide a forum for resident presentations in the field of Anesthesiology 

          To give resident participants an opportunity to meet in both an academic

          and social setting 

          To encourage interdepartmental communication and cooperation among

          participating programs
